Indoor air quality is a subject of growing concern.  The problems and health threats associated with poor indoor air quality have become extremely widespread.  It’s no wonder.  The average person spends 90% of their time indoors.  Every time you walk into your house, you bring in pollutants of all kinds with you.  Indoor air is usually 10 to 100 times more polluted than outside air.  This is largely because indoor air is trapped and rarely gets completely replaced.  Outdoor air on the other hand gets blown away and new, cleaner air replaces it.

In a study on indoor air quality, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) found that professional hot water extraction cleaning removed up to 1500% more indoor pollutants from carpets that had been otherwise vacuumed nearly every day. This can make a world of difference in conditions that may have been aggravated by your poor indoor air quality, such as asthma, allergies, emphysema and/or other breathing problems.

What we do
Breathe Free Carpet & Fine Fabric Care uses the hot water extraction process, commonly referred to as steam cleaning, from our powerful truck-mounted system.  The hot water extraction process is recommended as most effective by most major carpet mills and the Carpet and Rug Institute.  This process gets deep down, flushing and thoroughly rinsing out all the pollutants and soils in your carpets, with a hot water temperature, killing all those pesky germs and bacteria along the way.

Breathe Free’s Cleaning Process

Step 1: Pre-Inspection
Our technician will walk through your home with you to visually inspect the carpet. Please address any concerns you have. He will identify your carpets construction, fiber type, soil condition and cleaning needs and give you an evaluation of the expected results. (This insures that the integrity of your carpet fibers will be maintained by using the correct pH balanced cleaning solutions matched to your fiber type and cleaning needs.) At this time, the technician will give you a written estimate for the services to be done.

Step 2: Pre-Vacuum
Dry particulate soil is removed by thorough vacuuming using our high filtration vacuum system. Removing dry soil is one of the most important steps in cleaning.

Step 3: Furniture Moving
Our regular pricing includes moving sofas, chairs, tables and smaller items. Beds, dressers, and heavier pieces are left in place under our regular pricing structure.

Step 4: Pre-Spot
Difficult spots are pre-treated with special solutions to release spots and stains. (Some stains can be set if not properly pre-treated. Though some stains can never be removed, we will try our best to do so! If Breathe Free cannot get a stain out, nobody can!)

Step 5: Pre-Spray
A green label preconditioning agent is applied to break down traffic area soil and general spots for more thorough cleaning. (Our green label solutions contain no harmful chemicals, solvents or VOC’s that could contribute to the indoor environmental burden in your home. This is one of the most important features of our service.)

Step 6: Pre-Grooming
A professional carpet groomer is used to further loosen the soil. (This allows us to use less moisture in the soil extraction phase of the cleaning process, insuring faster drying times.)

Step 7: Soil Extraction and Rinse
The carpet is then thoroughly rinsed with a Ph-balanced green label cleaning system without over-wetting the carpet or leaving a sticky residue behind. (This step removes soils and pollutants providing you, a Breathe Free indoor environment.)

Step 8: Post-Spot
Any spots or stains still remaining will get extra treatment with our many specialty spotting solutions. (We are spot and stain experts; if the stain is removable we can get it out.)

Step 10: Post-Cleaning Inspection
We will walk through your home with you to inspect the cleaning results to make sure that you are completely thrilled with the job!
