Breathe Free Post-Cleaning Instructions
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. We hope your experience with Breathe Free was one that left you so satisfied, you can’t wait to tell your family and friends about us and you will be thrilled to come back to us with your cleaning needs for years to come. We welcome all questions, comments and feedback. Here are a few post cleaning tips.
- Moving air dries carpets quicker. Our standard drying time is 2-3 hours, on its own. To assist in speeding the drying process of your carpets or upholstery, turn on ceiling fans and area fans and open windows and doors if possible. In the winter months, turn on the heat and open windows, as warm air holds more moisture and dries carpets quicker.
- If tabs have been placed under furniture, please leave these protectors in place for 24 hours. Even though the carpet may feel dry to the touch after an hour or two, we ask that you leave the tabs in place for a full 24 hours. This will protect your furniture as well as the carpet. We want to prevent wood stain transfers as well as rust from metal clips found on the legs of some furniture.
- If possible, keep traffic off of cleaned areas for 2-3 hours or until completely dry, as to not re-soil carpets or lay carpet fibers down from there newly cleaned “up” position. If it is not possible to stay off carpets, clean white socks can be worn. A Breathe Free technician can provide booties to wear, on request.
- Clean spills up right away. See our complete spot and stain Removal Guide. If these methods don’t work, give us a call.
- Remember to vacuum. Up to 79% of the soils found in carpet are the dry gritty variety and can be effectively removed with thorough vacuuming. Vacuuming with a “CRI Green Label vacuum”, at least 2 times a week in high traffic areas and at least once a week in low traffic areas is recommended in maintaining the health of your carpets. For best results, slowly move the vacuum over the carpet several times, going back and forth and side to side in parallel rows.
